We are a four-piece cover band that plays 70’s classic rock, 80’s rock, 80’s new wave, and 70’s soul and funk. We are looking for a second guitarist to contribute to this material and fill out our sound. Vocals are a must.
ABOUT US: We came together in late 2025 and are now playing out in popular venues around Lancaster County and beyond. We are designed to appeal to an audience primarily from 50 - 70 years old who go to local music venues, including bars, wineries, private parties, and outdoor events. We play material mostly originated by five-piece (or larger) bands with keys. We have two co-lead vocalists. We decided to start up with just one guitarist and the keys player, and now with six months of gigging under our belts it’s time for us to step up by filling out our arrangements, including our backing vocals, with another guitarist who can sing.
ABOUT YOU: 1. You want to play the music we play (we are committed to our plan and are not looking to change directions, but want you to contribute song ideas). 2. You are a good musician and know how to pick out and play guitar parts and work collaboratively with the other guitarist and keys player to cover the song. You are happy playing both “rhythm” and “lead” parts. (We don’t play blues or jam music. There is room in these songs for soloing and creativity, but you must like playing as part of an ensemble.) 3. You have a good voice. If you can sing some leads that’s a bonus, but we want a good background singer. Much of our material is harmony-rich and we need another good voice, even though we have three vocalists right now. 4. You have great stage presence and know how to entertain and engage. (We are stuck behind the vocal mics right now, and we want to give freedom of movement to our vocalists and freedom to you when you’re not singing or are soloing to move.) 5. You have recently played in a professional environment and are tech savvy. (Except for the drums, we all go direct. We use wireless in-ear monitors. . . . silent stage). 6. You have flexibility in your work hours, or are semi-retired, and can rehearse either in the afternoon or early evening and gig mostly on weekends without work conflicts.
MORE DETAIL: Think keyboard rock, not Led Zep. Foreigner. Styx. Journey. INXS. BonJovi. The Cars. Steely Dan. Stevie Wonder. Both guitarists will play lead and solos depending on the material and vocal responsibilities.
Please contact us through Craigslist with information about yourself, including gigging experience. We can arrange to speak and then exchange more details, including samples and song lists.
