This is Josie, and she is a cool girl cat. She has what the vet called a "torty-tude" (it's a thing with tortoiseshell cats) and is independent and low maintenance. She keeps her own schedule (lots of napping and neighborhood watch from the windowsill) and loves to be outside when the weather is nice. She will meow at the door to be let out, and then lay on the porch when she's ready to come in again. Josie would thrive in a chill household. She would be ok around kids (she currently is) but prefers them to be older, and able to see and understand when she is over their attention. When she first came into our home, my husband and I worked full time and we didn't have kids and I think that was her sweet spot. Josie is litter box trained. She is usually well behaved. The only issues we've faced has been when our baby wants to chase her and play and doesn't know when she's had enough. She is shy around new people but will warm up if you're patient and gentle with her. She is spayed, not microchipped, up to date on flea and tick treatments. She's had her first vaccinations. No special dietary needs or conditions.
